Working in Retail

I've worked in Retail for a good seven years now and the one thing that never changes is the people you have to deal with. With every new job i start i have this little glimmer of hope inside me that this one will be different. Of course, it never is.

The big problem i notice is that people are more demanding, more rude and want things now. With the internet they have the ability to buy pretty much whatever they want and therefore when they go into an actual store they expect EVERYTHING. Well people, in the REAL world it doesn't work that way. In the REAL world not everything is at your finger tips. Just because you walk into a store and want something specific doesn't mean it will necessarily be there. Its a store and people besides yourself also shop there. It is possible that something will be out of stock, it is possible that the item you have in mind doesn't even exist, and no things aren't as easily replenishable as you may think. If the shopping experience you desire requires clicking a few buttons with as little human contact as possible than please, do everyone a favour and just STAY HOME.
