Closer to the Goal

We found out today that everything went well with the appraiser over the weekend. We were finally able to sign off for the financing issue! Yay, no more sleepless nights crying in bed over it. Just a few more things to sign and the house will officially be ours. I can't wait!!

Waiting!

So, we found out the other day that the bank is sending in an appraiser to look at the house. Nobody told us this would be happening so when i heard about it i assumed it was something bad. Apparently they do that will all houses that are being sold so i guess everything is okay. I just want this whole thing to be over with already, I WANT MY HOUSE! If everything goes okay we will get the keys in two weeks, so exciting but nerve wracking at the same time! Wish us luck!

Price Stickers!

Never in my life have i ever went into a store, picked up an item and asked the employee working there if that was the REAL price. Why would I?? I'm going to assume since its called a PRICE STICKER that is the price.
Some complete moron came into the store yesterday and asked me if we had Jello Shooters. I showed him where they were and then he comes up to me and asks me if thats the price. I told him if thats what the sticker says than YES. He's like, seriously?? Yes, i know its hard for you to understand because your an idiot and probably only think with one thing but if its priced at $13 then guess what?? OMG, wait for it....wait for it.....IT IS THE PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay, now that we have completed Being an Idiot 101 lets move onto "Why is it sold out?" written and illustrated by I Live Under A Rock!

A house, possibly!

My husband and i are going to put in an offer on a duplex on Thursday. I really hope we get it, its exactly what we want and I'm already decorating it in my head. Which is probably a bad thing since i tend to get my hopes up only to have them crushed : ( I can't help but be excited though because if everything goes well this will be our first home!! Yay!

Wedding Invites

This girl came into the store tonight right before i left to look at wedding invites. She asked me what information she needed in her invitation. Maybe its me but i thought that stuff was self explanatory, i mean i know i work with Wedding Invites but come on. I feel kind of bad 'cause i was kind of making fun of her for it but there comes a point in ones life where you just have to not care and laugh at the stupidity of the human race.
I also had another customer about a week ago order invitations. She picked one that required your monogram on the front and she actually asked me if she had to use the same letters as the sample invitation!! I was like "Well, if your names don't start with those letters i wouldn't suggest it" lol She also had to ask her Dad how to spell her middle name and it gets worse.....she had a kid! Now i know why so many young kids now days are complete morons!

House Hunting

My husband and I met our real estate agent today. He's a really nice guy and around our age so hopefully he will be able to find us something we like.

We are going house hunting on Wednesday and i can't wait! I just want our own house already, something that WE actually own and can decorate however we like.

New Music I'm listening to

I love Lily Allen's song F*@k You! It's the perfect song to describe how i am feeling at the moment! She has a new fan in me, she has a beautiful voice and all her songs on her new album are Awesome!

I also bought the Kings of Leon CD, its really good as well and my favorite song off of it is Sex on Fire, which i think is everyone's favorite song at the moment. And the guys are easy on the eyes as well : )

Supper

Okay, this is totally off topic but i made Chicken Parmegan tonight and it turned out really good. I know it sounds like I'm totally surprised by this but I'm not exactly the most accomplished cook. I'm attempting to cook more since i just got married and most of the time my husband and I use the microwave. I mean we both have different work schedules so thats how i justify not cooking but from now on i am going to make a conscience effort to do better. Here's Hoping!

Lazy B*@#h's

Okay, it's really annoying when someone comes into the store and expects you to follow them around like a servant. They want you to pick things off the shelves for them and put them in their baskets all the while sticking their noses in the air as if they are better than you.
But i guess i understand, you probably don't want to chip your acrylic nails you just had done at a salon where you inhaled toxic fumes. And while I'm at it putting your hair in braids doesn't make you look younger, it makes you look like a forty year old women "TRYING" to look sixteen. I can still see your leathery skin and sagging boobs!

Retail Continued.....

Some of the customers i absolutely despise are the one's that come into a store looking for a particular service but then proceed to tell you how to do your job! If you know how to do MY job so well why aren't you working here? If you know how to do MY job so well then why don't you just serve yourself? I know you think you know everything but you really don't. If you did know everything than you wouldn't be here in the first place! And just because you used to work at a certain store doesn't mean you know how things work here. So, the next time you come in please just keep your mouth shut and let me do my job. Is that to much to ask?

Working in Retail

I've worked in Retail for a good seven years now and the one thing that never changes is the people you have to deal with. With every new job i start i have this little glimmer of hope inside me that this one will be different. Of course, it never is.

The big problem i notice is that people are more demanding, more rude and want things now. With the internet they have the ability to buy pretty much whatever they want and therefore when they go into an actual store they expect EVERYTHING. Well people, in the REAL world it doesn't work that way. In the REAL world not everything is at your finger tips. Just because you walk into a store and want something specific doesn't mean it will necessarily be there. Its a store and people besides yourself also shop there. It is possible that something will be out of stock, it is possible that the item you have in mind doesn't even exist, and no things aren't as easily replenishable as you may think. If the shopping experience you desire requires clicking a few buttons with as little human contact as possible than please, do everyone a favour and just STAY HOME.
